Mean Girls is a 2004 film written by (and co-starring) Tina Fey. It stars Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried, Lacey Chabert and Rachel McAdams and featured several Saturday Night Live cast members, including Tim Meadows, Ana Gasteyer, and Amy Poehler.
Director Mark Waters described the movie as "Clueless meets Heathers "[1], the latter of which was written by his brother, Daniel Waters. It was based on the non-fiction book Queen Bees and Wannabes by Rosalind Wiseman, which describes how female high school social cliques operate, and the effect they can have on girls.
Starring Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, and Amy Poheler, Mean girls centers around a teenager named Cady who moves from Africa to suburban Evanston, meeting teens who may be manipulating mean and crushing, this is a film teaching girls how to keep away from the warpath, and showing the results from that behavior that is expected to be seen in early maybe pre years of a teenager. Tina Fey co stars and writes this movie. Her character is a math teacher who seems to be the only one realizing Cady loosing some respect. Tim Meadows: The head teacher trying to fix strong problems with relationships among the girls in the school. He also seems to have a crush on Ms. Norbury, the math teacher. His name is Mr. Duvall. Amy Poheler: A trophy mom who lets her daughter do anything she wants. She always perks for anything that her daughter may interest. Rachel McAdams: Regina, The lead and most manipulative Plastic there is, trying to hurt Cady and reclaim the crush running between them. Ana Gasteyer: Betsy Heron, Cady's strictly and triban mother, trying to keep her out of teen troublesome.
