Raquel Zimmermann is a Brazilian supermodel who was born in 1981 in Novo Hamburgo, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, where she attended a modeling school at the age of 14. Soon afterwards she made her way to Japan. She modeled for a number of years but it was only in recent years that her icy, Aryan look really became noted and appreciated by fashion designers.

Raquel has campaigned for such brands as: Chanel, Prada, Balenciaga, Hermes, Gucci, Dior, Chloe, Max Mara, Versace, Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Giorgio Armani, Valentino, and appears regularly in American Vogue, French Vogue, Italian Vogue, W Magazine, Harper's Bazaar, Visionaire, POP and Self Service. She also appeared in the 2003, 2005 and 2006 Victoria Secret Fashion Shows.
