Founded in the mid-nineteenth century, KUALA LUMPUR, or KL as it's popularly known, is the youngest Southeast Asian capital and the most economically successful after Singapore – and it's still growing: building sites abound and the city is awash with stunning examples of modern architecture, not least the famous Petronas Towers and the recently opened Museum of Islamic Arts. It's not one of Malaysia's most charming cities, perhaps: it doesn't have, for example, the narrow alleys, bicycles and mahjong games of Melaka or Kota Bharu or the atmospheric waterfront of Kuching.

For business travellers few countries are as convenient and efficient as Singapore, everywhere is usually reachable within 15 minutes, taxis are widely available (although when it is raining getting a taxi can be quite a challenge) and the underground system is easy to use and extremely efficient. Internet access is available pretty much everywhere and many hotels, restaurants and cafe's even offer Wi-Fi connections.

Its natural scenery is due to a large measure to the special geological structure of the area. The mountain consists mainly of granite and diorite. Long weathering produced mountain formations and cliffs of multifarious shapes. The variation in geographical location and weather and climatic conditions, too, contributed to the formation of Mt. Kumgang.
Situated at the northern tip of the Taebaek Mountains which stretch along the east coast of the Korean Peninsula, the mountain covers an area of 400 square kilometers, runs 60 kilometers in length and has a width of 40 kilometers from east to west. The highest peak of the mountain is Piro Peak.

Designed to mirror a traditional Balinese village, Amandari blends luxury with insight into everyday local life. The name means "peaceful spirits," and you’ll indeed find soothing for your soul as you linger in this idyllic property set on an escarpment overlooking the Auying River Gorge. Relax in the open-air lobby designed after a wantilan—village meeting place—or unwind in the spa, where open-air bales surrounded by a lotus pond seem to float peacefully above the water.
